As the world ramps up steps to fight global warming, the world’s greenest beauty brand O’right was invited to fly across the globe attend London’s edie’s Sustainability Leaders Forum along with enterprises such as Ikea, Canon, P&G, UPS and Unilever.
The edie Sustainability Leaders Awards, the UK’s most prestigious sustainability awards, recognizes excellence across the spectrum of green business. The 2019 awards partners include Carbon Trust, Association for the Conservation of Energy and Ernst & Young, among many others. At the event environmentalist and television presenter Michaela Strachan praised Hair O’right International Corporation for their carbon reduction achievements and award-winning green headquarters.
Since embarking on a green journey in 2006, the Taiwanese pioneer of sustainability has made a name for themselves in the sustainable beauty industry from their products, raw materials, manufacturing, logistics, certificates and accolades to CSR initiatives. In 2018, they continued on the sustainable path by successfully joining RE100, aiming to become the first company in Taiwan to use 100% renewable energy in 2025.
O’right Green Headquarters is Taiwan’s first GMP certified Gold- and Diamond-level green cosmetics plant powered by renewable energies and equipped with foot pedal faucets and other energy-saving facilities, which has helped reduce up to a whopping 1,427,120 kg of carbon emissions on earth (equivalent to planting 129,738 20-year-old trees). Lush greenery on the premises not only enhances the natural environment but also mitigates climate change. In addition, 100% of rainwater is recycled and reclaimed for daily water consumption, air-conditioning, irrigation, and other purposes. At the Green Headquarters, not one drop of precious water is wasted and carbon dioxide emissions are reduced to a minimum.
To continue to make a green difference to more people, the Green Headquarters has welcomed thousands of enterprises, organizations and environmentalists to the premises, most notably Alibaba and 3M. The green brand’s influence continues to reach all walks of life across the world.
